There was a survey published last week that voted 'Smoke on the water' by Deep Purple as the best guitar riff ever.

Now don't get me wrong, I do like Purple and I also like that track. The intro is probably the only thing I can play on a guitar. But I reckon there are better guitar riffs than that.

Its more difficult than you think to narrow it down. My favourite varies from month to month.
